Day 6: Simply Sunday

Sundays are so special to my family. Being a home of two parents who work full-time outside of the home, our weekends are a time to be cherished. We relish in the chance to spend quality time together, catching up on the events of the week, planning for the week to come, and just being with each other! Although we didn’t make it to church this weekend, we spent a great deal of time thanking the Lord for our many blessings and praying for some very special friends in our lives. We thanked God for a wonderfully cool and pleasant morning for Cecilia’s soccer game on Saturday. My husband and I said many times over the weekend how grateful we are to God for the two amazing gifts that He has bestowed upon us, for their health and their amazing minds and for their ever-growing love for each other. We praised God many times today for the beautiful day He gave us and for the opportunity to spend it outdoors with each other on sacred ground at our local German Fest. We also spent time in prayer, asking God to lay His healing hand upon two very special young friends of ours-Kaden and Macy. Both of these young, beautiful children are enduring trying times in their lives, but we know that God will see them through! We had no agenda today, and it was amazing. We were reminded today how truly blessed we are, and there is simply nothing sweeter than that!
